Magic Kingdom Summary

The Magic Kingdom was the first theme park to open in Walt Disney World on October 1st, 1971. 142 acres large with the 189-feet-tall Cinderella Castle at its center, this is Disneyland on steroids, divided into six themed lands— Main Street, U.S.A.; Adventureland; Frontierland; Liberty Square; Fantasyland; and Tomorrowland. World-famous attractions include Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, it’s a small world, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Jungle Cruise, The Hall of Presidents, Mad Tea Party, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, and so many more! The Magic Kingdom originally lacked in good dining options, but over time the counter service restaurants have expanded in size and selections. With the opening of New Fantasyland in 2012 the dinner table service option, “Be Our Guest” restaurant became the first and only to serve alcohol in the park, with amazing food selections including ‘The Grey Stuff’ (it’s delicious, don’t believe me…ask the dishes!)
