The San Angel Inn Restaurante, located within Epcot’s World Showcase Mexico Pavilion at Walt Disney World, is a great, table service restaurant serving lunch and dinner. Found within the pavilion’s main building, you will dine in eternal night at the base of Mayan Ruins, with a village marketplace to one side, and a river to the other. The San Angel inn offers traditional mexican food through Appetisers, Entrees, and desserts. For kids, they offer fun, simplistic Tex Mex style dishes. For an appetizer, we just stuck with the chips, served with salsa verde as well as regular salsa. For my entree, I got the Enchiladas Verdes Con Pollo, corn tortillas filled with pulled chicken, covered with a green tomatillo sauce, topped with sour cream, queso fresco with onions, served with rice and refried black beans. This is unlike any enchilada i have ever had. From the presentation to the rich taste, this creative dish left me satisfied! My brother got the Quesadillas Rebozadas, battered corn quesadilla, corn, mushrooms, and quest fresco topped with sour cream, Dad got the Tacos de Vegetables, flour tortillas with sautéed mushroom, corn, onions, zucchini, garlic, rajas Poblanas, and goat cheese.
Although we were too full for dessert after that amazing meal, the San Angel Inn provides a variety of options including Creamy Bavarian mousse, Caramel ice cream, Chocolate Mousse, and a special cheesecake, Pastel de Queso Con Cajeta!
The Enchiladas Verdes Con Pollo was $18.95, the Quesadillas Rebozadas were $12.25, and the Tacos de Vegetables were $10.95. Add drinks and we spent around 58 dollars for a party of three. Sounds cheap but keep in mind two of our three meals are considered as appetizers.
For food quality, we give San Angel Inn 4 stars, For Value, we give 3 stars, for service we give 4 stars, and for atmosphere we give 4.5 stars.
