Good day everyone my name and Brayden and this is your Mickey Views Daily News for December 28th, 2018.

Today we have for you the full 2018 New Year’s Eve lineup of events in Walt Disney World as compiled by WDWMagic. Going through the various parks and their offerings, first off, over at the Magic Kingdom, events kick off as early as noon with a midday showing of Mickey’s Once a Christmastime Parade, and all the Very Merry Christmas style entertainment offerings from the castle lighting to the dance parties in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. Then the real action starts at 11:50PM with the Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks to ring in the New Year for 2019.

Then, we have Epcot, which, if I ever do New Year’s Eve in Disney, that’s where I’d be, not just because it’s my favorite park and the best park ever made, but because it’s also giant and is actually built to handle New Year’s Eve level crowds, whereas the Magic Kingdom will be at or near capacity.

In Epcot, New Year’s Eve is a real event, Disney distributes hats and horns from multiple spots around the park, and then, once the sun sets, concerts erupt all around the World Showcase. There’s a party in the UK pavilion, China, Italy, and bands performing all night at the America Gardens theater.

Oh, and you know what’s better than one Illuminations? TWO! Because at 6:30, right when it gets dark, Illuminations plays with the special holiday tag at the end, and then at 11:40, Illuminations goes again except this time with the one, the only New Year’s Countdown Fireworks, in which the show ends with several hundreds of firework shells being launched within a few seconds of each other.

If you can’t tell I really wanted to be in Epcot for New Years Eve this year, but unfortunately I couldn’t find any good room rates when I was looking into it this past summer. And it should be noted this is the last time ever you will have the New Year’s Eve Countdown Fireworks illuminations tag in Epcot, as come this time next year we will have the Epcot Forever show, and a year after that, the property tie in Project Kappa show where instead of celebrating Earth and the millenium, you’ll be taken through a tour of Disney intellectual property tie in movie songs that are loosely inspired by real life countries from around the world, replacing a show that actually was about those real life countries from around the World.

And then wrapping up over in Hollywood Studios, Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular rings in the new year with a special New Year’s twist. Sounds very fun. It should be noted if you’re in Epcot and face out from Future World you actually should be able to see the Hollywood Studios New Years Eve fireworks over the France Pavilion, while simultaneously having the epic Illuminations New Year’s Eve tag going at the same time!

If you’re wondering about the Animal Kingdom, the Animal Kingdom does stay open at night these days but of course no fireworks with all of the animals around. So if you want to catch the most festivities, have space to move around, and even get some free hats and horns to ring in the new year, Epcot is the place to be.

That’s today’s latest news in the World of Disney.
